Hil all, just signed up following a browse through your forum. Looks great. 43 years old, got back into bikes after a long lay off, bringing up family, got sensible for a wee while etc.... You know the drill. Run a 2012 1000 on the road and an RR9 on the track. Love my blades and never tire of riding and fettling my track bike. I live In Lanark, Scotland and spend a fair amount of time going round in circles at Knockhill. That was until last Friday when I made a silly mistake, lost the front resulting in a broken collar bone so laid up for a wee while. Anyway, look forward to talking to, sharing info and learning from the blade gurus lurking around this site. Pics of my babies attached, hopefully they open up on here? Good to meet you all, Stevie.
Hi Stevie.. welcome along. Great looking bikes.. hope there is not too much damage to the tracker after your wee fall. What corner did you slip at? I was at knockers last Monday and had a wee moment at the hair pin.. managed to catch it though.
Hi mate, you got it, at the hairpin reverse direction, second warm up lap, not on the pace at all, wasn't concentrating (probably due to low speed) dabbed the front brake just as I turned in and surprise surprise I lost the front. Really silly mistake to make but ho hum. Not to much damage, the fairings are the worst, there Carbon Kevlar so that was a wee bit painful. Have to say that's the second time I've done reverse direction and I just don't get on with it, not slagging the track off it's just me. Knockhill track and staff are excellent in my opinion. See you up there some time soon mate.
Easily done I guess! I'll be down at Knockhill 22nd with a few of my pals from Aberdeen.. and possibly a few from the forum as well..
