Took the seat off to connect the optimate tonight
2 Phillips screws into a square nut located in the seat,
Question, should there be any washers or rubbers, as no matter how tight, it's still a bit lose and you can see the screw heads moving

I'm gonna buy a new screw as its worn the head for the screwdriver, obviously previous owner has tried to stop seat as well

Just need to know if anything else is missing to pad it out

    Cheers

Yup, what SPS said above, the screws on the seat seem to be made of chocolate and my seat also has play in it.

They aren't great quality but they aren't Phillips screws either. Get a JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) screwdriver and you'll do less damage.

You can buy them in stainless for £1 from a nut & bolt / fastener shop
