As per title, am in the market for a new set of leather gloves which offer maximum protection but are still very flexible.
    Any recommendations, suggestions?
Have been looking as the Alpinestars GP2 offerings, seem incredible VFM at circa £80! My budget is around £150.
    Thank you once again

I have tried loads of gloves that i have really liked and really wanted to buy, only to find the fit not right. For gloves as with any gear fit first.

I have Dainese for summer and Rukka Argosauraus for early and late season as a 3 season glove. Love the Rukka's and would wear all year round, but dainese cooler, nice fit but a little soft and lacking real impact security

My issue is slightly slim hands but long fingers so if anyone knows a long fingered glove im all ears

Alpinestars GP Pro are round about your top end price & they the best gloves I've had especially the fit which is perfect, but like other folks say you need to try em all on and find the ones that fit you best. I've a drawer full of other gloves but they all bit long in the fingers unlike the Alpinestars

Wolf gloves are really long in the finger! Local bike shop has baskets full knocked right down in price which is probably cos they'll only fit ET :D
Shame, because they seemed good quality & looked nice for price!

Knox Handroids are what I run on Track and have personally tested em at a 3 figure off!
Only gloves I'd use otherwise are the Held Titans.

OP, just buy the ones you like the most. Try them on.

I think with gloves it's the same as with tyres or helmets, everyone has their favourite ones.

I had Arlen Ness gloves for last 5 years, crashed with them a few times. This year it was time to change, but none of the Alpinestars, Knox, RST, whatever feel right. I tried all, cheap and expensive and I just didn't like them. So in the end I found these on ebay...

    old and new

I imagine first crash in them and those plastic strings in this "Boa Lacing System?" will just snap while scraping the tarmac. It has got a 'cool' factor, but looks like something to go wrong.

Also in the market for new gloves. A couple of years ago (getting back into biking after 20 year gap) I bought Furygan leathers & gloves. The leathers are fine, but don't like the gloves.

Think I might get these. Heard lots of good things about their leather suits & think the gloves look great:

Ha. Stingray skin. Never heard of that used ... had a few nips of those buggers before. Similar to shark skin.

It really is down to two things :

    1. A glove that will offer you the best protection
    2. A glove that fits well and is comfortable

Personally I'm on my second pair of Alpinestars GP Pro's, a good quality glove that with give really good protection, but they do take a bit of time to soften up and feel comfortable. On a long ride, I opt for my old gloves which fit perfectly and have softened up and allow easy movement. I'm still getting my new gloves worn it which I do on short rides.

At the end of the day, it's protecting your hands so don't scrimp on quality.

I also really rate the Alpinestars dude, but the best gloves I've probably owned were made by Held tbh !

Have a pair of astars gp plus and had them for maybe 4/5 years. Great gloves and had an off in them and they're still ok. I've now got Handroids which I've never worn yet but got them after a mate raved about them.
