hello all, new member here who will be picking up my 08 blade tomorrow afternoon! I've just sold my Suzuki SV1000S and have always wanted a Fireblade so I've made the decision and taken the action. It's the red and black model with only one owner since new, and just 18,000 miles so I'm hoping it'll be with me for a while. Previous bikes I've had are CBR600F-Sport, Suzuki GSXR 750 K7, Aprilia Shiver and the SV. So quite varied and I can't wait to ride the new bike. I'll be taking it on a trip over to Assen in June for the GP so will get a good feel for it there. Anything I should be looking out for or common issues to be aware of? Useful mods? It's fully serviced and has had a recall done for something as well as valve clearance checks at 16,000 miles so should be all good. Cheers, Nigel

Well I've got it and been out a few times now. F me it's quick!! Never ridden anything like it! A few bits I'd like to play around with, removed the rear pegs on Sunday which only took about an hour. Time to save up, winter will be fun but can't wait for the summer first! Here's a few (badly taken) pics.
