Appreciate any feedback anyone could give me on this.

I recently replaced the chain sprockets on my RR4. It was running standard Honda sprockets and I've replaced them with Renthal front and rear and an AFAM chain.

Only problem is that I'm noticing a bit of noise. Sounds almost like a supercharger whine on acceleration.

I've checked the chain tension to see if I left it too tight and if anything I'm on the slightly loose side of things.

Bike's riding fine and I don't seem to have any tight spots on the chain.

Are Renthal sprockets just more noisy on account of having no rubber damper???

    Anyone else experienced this??

I can't quite remember, but is there a flange on these sprockets? Could be that one is the wrong way around which can knock the chain out of alignment.

If I recall I couldn't really remember seeing any difference between one side of the sprocket and the other. I know I fitted it with the stencilled lettering showing the sprocket details facing you as you look at the bike. I thought that was the point of them being on that side, so that they're visible when checking the sprocket.

As long as it's visible on both.

Does it make the sound in all the gears? Mine does that noise in 6th which is the input shaft bearing in the engine casin side of gearbox... Engine out job which will involve the lower engine casin split open to change that bearing.

I do hope for you it's not that as I'm just unlucky lol!
