Just thought I'd share my first "big" ride out on the Brutale. 200mile trip through twisty roads, dual carriageways, rough/smooth tarmac. So here's my review; Seat a little bit hard but easily bearable. The angle of the seat stops you sliding back on full chat. No back/wrist ache whatsoever, a little bit of vibration through the foot pegs but again, bearable. Once I had dialled in the suspension settings it is sublime. No chicken strips left (well a couple of mm left), I didn't think I was leaning that much !!, a couple of the guys following quoted "it seems to turn left to right really easy" ,,,,, yes it does. It gives great feedback and just seems to stick to the road, probably one of the best handling bikes I've had. The throttle is on/off below 3k revs but keeping the revs up minimises it. Low/mid range torque is excellent, sitting at 40mph in sixth, wind the throttle back and it goes like stink. Mate with a Duke 1198 was impressed. The brakes are exceptional, really good feel and little effort to apply them. Traction control is ok, but I switched it off and the bike performs better (old school feel is best) Clutch nice and light, gearbox is excellent, smooth and precise. Looks/sounds amazing. Plenty of positive comments at the meet. Build quality is A1, hand built precision. Averaged 36mpg so happy with that. All in all I'm really over the moon with this bike. I was very apprehensive at first when I bought it coming from the blade but I'm glad I did. Don't get me wrong, the blade is a cracking bike but for me the MV is that little bit more. Would I recommend one ? hell yeah, this bike has become my new best friend. Roll on the next sunny day, cant wait !!! Sorry to rattle on, but there you go. promise I'll stop going on about it now.
brilliant! looks fantastic and by the sounds of it rides like it looks. I'm hunting down a track bike at the moment, but a naked on steroids like this is definitely on the cards
Lovely bike, thought about one of them too, but opted for the MV. Oh yes, naked's DO rule PS where did you get the mirrors? ones on the MV are all elbows!
Yeah I'm pleased with it, looks mega in the flesh... They are triumph bar end mate, no doubt mv will do similar in their accessories Set the bike off imo
My mate said the same about the MV, a work colleague has a black speed triple and his is better in the flesh and that's why I was tempted. The mirrors do set it off nice, I'll do a bit of shopping.
I agree, its the first time in a while that I have wanted to get right back on a bike after a few hours in the saddle, a complete hoot !!!
The good thing about it is that it handles just as well as the blade and just as fast but way more comfortable. Don't get me wrong, I've had 3 Blades and loved them all.
Very nice fella, upright animal them beemers. I was very sceptical about getting another naked but boy I'm glad I did.
