Hi all. I'm wondering if anyone could give me a comparison of Fireblade Motors and how smooth they are. I've heard Hondas smoothness but my 2010 seems far from it. Can anyone help? Fancy visiting and comparing motors to help my peace of mind? Am I going mad or just simply need to man up ??

I'm in the Mansfield Sutton in Ashfield , alfreton Derbyshire Nottinghamshire area if anyone can help. Has to be s 2010 model though, cup of tea will be provided maybe even a bun ;-)

I had an issue with mine but part if problem is from the start and letting the clutch out. The clutch is much smoother if you have plenty if revs. 2nd can also be a bit snatch. A PC has helped but to be honest on my 2014 once your above 2000 it's great.

I've got a 2010 and it was a dog as standard in my opinion. The fueling was ropey as hell... Really didn't like low rpm through traffic / commuting ... My R1 was fine in this respect. So I spent several hundred quid installing power commander and having it custom mapped ...

It now rides how it should have in standard form.

Thanks that's great. I went to CMC and asked a few people for a go on the throttle of blades ranging from 09-11. All were smoother. Then tried via Moto in chesterfield. There 2015 was off the scale smooth. But they had an 08 that felt a little rough and vibey. There was a garage called fast "something" behind CMC. The fella races a blade 2010. He said it was s Honda " design feature" needed mapping. I would love to still compare.

I have just changed plugs and filter. Ive checked all mounts. I've ordered extra heavy bar ends and checked balance shaft for alignment on setup and also checked backlash. Nothing. If anyone has the answer to how they smoothed it then please post.

I'll let you know when sump back on and running , should be end of the week. Just waiting for gasket threebond.
