Hi, Here is the email and response to a technical question sent to HM regarding a 5Hz dash. I can't upload the video but for some reason the bike/dash losses the gear indicator signal and cuts out. Hi, I wonder if you could take a look at the attached video and help me to solve the problem. The bike is a CBR1000RR 09 and the dash is the 5hz model. As you can see the Dash seems to lose the gear indication and the bike stops running until I can find neutral and switch off the ignition and restart. This happen three times during the trackday and always when entering the hairpin which involves dropping a number of gears in quick succession. I have not been able to check the firmware version or carry out an update at the moment. There is also an additional gear indicator still fitted to the bike (GIpro, had no time to remove before ridding) could this be interfering with the signal? Is there a possibility that my inability to full release the clutch on each down shift could be causing the problem? I am still trying to find a manual/user guide, could you send a link? I will try and call your technical department to discuss this but am offshore and would prefer an email answer Regards, I Hoggan Hi Iain, This sounds like the side sound switch playing up which would explain why you have to find N again before the bike will start. Hope this helps. No it doesn't help in the slightest!!! Can anyone shed some light?
LMFAO!!! This is what happens when you read an email the minuet you get out of bed!!!! As soon as I started the thread the penny dropped!!!!
