New to the forum and fireblades. Just bought a 59 plate repsol with 207 miles on the clock from my local dealer in Hull. Absolutely loving it apart from usual oil consumption and stupidly difficult to use fuel filler lock. Strange running in a 5 year old bike!
Welcome mate, where has the bike been all that time Push down on the flap as u unlock I got told mine used a bit if oil, i put 10/40 in, done 500 miles and still on full, last owner was using 0/30 from memory
Shutty, hi. Chap who bought it apparently rode it once, then put it away in his conservatory, so as you can imagine its as new. Thanks for tip on fiĺler cap will try that. I didn't think rr9s used oil like the rr8s but you live and learn!
Mind with that mileage it will use a bit, has it had its first service as im sure they have a thinner oil in from factory to run them in. Somebody on here will be able to confirm
Yes Miles kingsport gave it its first service so its on 10w30 semi synthetic now. Topped it up yesterday. What a stupid place fot the oil filler!
Well its getting used now mate. Really like the engine. Had a ducati 1198 before it which was lovely but required a lot more effort to ride. Repsol colour scheme has always been my favourite!
Welcome and well done to find a low miler like that. Mine a 10k RR9 and uses virtually no oil. 500 miles and not had to top it up yet.
Hi & welcome excellent choice not only is it the fastest but tests have proven the riders are the best looking too
