Noticed a small pool of coolant on the floor last night after the bike got hot in traffic... I assume it's come from the overflow as cannot see any issues.

    Anyone had this?

Ironically it's been fine for 6000 miles with the coolant bottle on the minimum mark, as part of the recent service I topped it up to the max mark (it's a sod to fill) and it's since then I noticed the problem (it's happened twice now).

I don't think it's an issue, but thought would ask. :)

Yep, I've had this when topped up to max, I just let it spew out until it felt happy and left it at that. :)

I've had this happen twice since getting the bike four months ago. Both times were on hot days (a rarity, I know). I kept an eye on the temp. gauge and it stayed as normal. I mentioned it to my local Honda dealer and he said that they have had new bikes leave a small pool of coolant whilst they've been on the shop floor! It's not happened recently, so I can only assume it was filled to the max by the shop I bought it from and has now found its happy level.

Fill it to the top when cold will result in the excess being spewed out due to expansion, I would'n't worry if this was the case. Keep an eye on it though, it should only do this a few times until the correct level is found. If it continues you may have another underlying issue.

Mine did this for a while and overflow when the bike was switched off, the actual cause was a degraded rad cap not being as to hold the pressure.
