So I picked up my blade (2013) a couple of weeks ago and the riding position feels weird. I feel I'm on the bike rather than in/part of the bike. My knees are rather hunched up too and I'm only 5,10" so I can't be the only one who has felt this?
My question is how have you fixed the issue?
Rearsets ? If so what do you recommend.
    Clip-ons?
Or just something I will have to get used to?
I sat on a brand new 2015 plate that looks exactly the same but it felt completely different a lot more in the bike. Thanks j

I'm 5' 10 too on an 11 plate & the position is bob on for me, maybe you just need to get used to it?!? I know they've altered the positioning of the bars/pegs slightly on the 2015

Personally the blade was one of the most comfortable bike to ride and still is. Hmm..

That'll be why, Suzukis (I find) are way more 'in' the bike... Feel in behind the tank and stretched out to bars.

    Blade more perched.

Don't get on an r6 then, I came from that and it's way more perched on than blade.

You'll get used to it, I prefer it to the Suzuki ride position as feel more planted on the front end, but all about the individual.

My pal is a Gixxa head and couldn't get on with the blade ha

I had an r6 for just over two years lol but I only ride that on track.

By the sounds of it, it must be because I have got to used to the gsxr position.
Just need to ride the blade and stop looking for reasons to things to buy for it [emoji23].

Then you'll know what I mean, but on track you notice less as its and you are more focused....

Find the blade pretty neutral tbh and all round the best position and set up. In stock!!

So spend the money on fuel, you'll love it eventually I'm sure ;)

Funny though, I've been looking at k5's for a sports tourer lol

    Came from R1's ... Had same issue and 5FT 11 ...

Rear sets are too far forward... Dropping them back helps massively to give you more room in cockpit.

I came from CBR600Fi which I thought was comfy until I tried the Blade, even though I was more perched I found my body was more evenly spread with the tank and pegs being higher also the bars being closer and wider, I instantly fell in love and just had to have one ;)

Came from a K5 thou myself and a K3 before. The Blade is taller (Im 5'7" and flat footed on the Gixer) BUT stick with the Blade and it'll make sense. Rearsets will make a difference tho as they pegs are a little forward.

I forgot to mention about feet too!! My heel is constantly on the swingarm drives me insane . I don't ride to leisurely go for a stroll so I'm constantly hunched aggressive riding position with my tippy toes on the foot rests.
Think I'm just going to buy rearsets drop them and pull them back.

Having ridden a few sports bikes I found the blade to be bloody good for riding position. I'm 6ft 2" and apart from adding a larger screen found it to fit me very well

So strange. I've ridden r6, zx6r, gsxr 750, now the blade and the blades the only one I have had any issues with leg room/positioning.

No bike I've ever felt more 'part of the bike' than my mate's Ducati 916. So natural and comfortable for short blasts, I'd recommend anyone to try.
