don't know if you can make it out from the pictures but after a ride I noticed 2 rub marks in the top of the hugger either side, the only thing 20150716_162330.jpg 20150716_162401.jpg I can think it is,is the under side of the seat where the abs shit is and when i hit a nice in and out dip" which crushed my nuts on the tank aswell" it must be bottoming out,so would turning up the stiffness on the spring help or it is better to take of the hugger

Set up the preload for your own weight, that way if you are heavier than the preload is set to on your bike then it will further compress the spring so it is operating within the correct range.
PS if you're a bloater you may need a heavier spring. :)

Easy enough to do, top the bike out by lifting it up at the rear an get someone to measure the bike without you on it from a fixed point on the wheel say the spindle edge and a mark somewhere on the tailpiece, then measure again with you sat on the bike fully kitted up and it should be around 30-35mm difference. any more and you need to increase the preload by indexing the collar round a couple of notches until it's right.

    Plenty of vids on youtube.

Unusual place for it to catch tho. That space should surely not hit anything. I'd have thought it would be further up the hugger not that close to the shock.

I'm a bloater :) at 14 stone 9 and mine doesn't bottom out, although I have mine set to 6. Standard should be 4 notches and should be fine for you.

I was wondering if it is the hugger is self, being a bit large or not the right one for the abs model but have set preload to 6 ,but if its too bouncy I might look at some self adhesive pads under the seat

If that's a genuine honda hugger then they don't recommend it's used with the ABS bikes for this very reason. I really fancy the carbon honda racing hugger but have heard of people smashing them on the ABS unit. I've got the R&G one which is suitable for ABS models.

Honda say don't use huggers on an ABS blade, I've smashed 2 allthough after setting suspension up for my weight I am running a small standard hugger (from a 12+ on a 08-11) without problems

What's the small standard hugger? I've got a 12 ABS and it didn't come with a hugger. I've got my preload set at 6 for my weight and wonder if I'd get away with a carbon hugger.
