I went down the snakes pass for the first time last night in the car to see what it is like OMG i have never had so much fun in my life, is there any fixed speed cameras down the pass? i have heard they have a lot of mobile cameras on nice days but couldn't find no fixed ones. Also getting there was fine as i was in the car 45 mins down the motorway but would be a bit of a nightmare on the bike does anybody know any scenic routes from Liverpool ways?

I saw no fixed cameras over the pass last time I was that way, but that was last year to be fair.

I only seen 2 cars parked up at the side 1 was a fiesta and the other was a pick up truck with nobody in either so i think i might be ok this time around but the roads leading to the pass are scattered with speed cameras so keep an eye out for them if you plan on going up there.

Camera van there a few weeks back at side of the road , very disappointed that out of all the bikes coming towards us, only 1 guy signalled for us to slow down. The van would have deffo had some of our group

try the woodhead pass a628.the road from buxton to whaley bridge a5004 and the cat and fiddle a537 the cat has average speed cameras 3 from the pub to macc set at 50mph but if you can get the bike over 50 on those bends you should be on a track

I live 6 miles from the Snake... cracking road tad bumpy in places... no fixed camera's anywhere... sat and sunday you do get traffic cops on there, better to ride in the week or early morning or evening...

Snake more biker friendly than Woodhead since they put a weight limit on it some years ago.
