Working nights last night I had a little mishap whilst manhandling pallet weighing scales into position.

    Thumbnail view, how apt lol
Anyway middle finger clutch hand now has top part missing, just waiting for the op to tidy things up.
I commute on the bike everyday and enjoy it, so now it's back to chuggy transit and being stuck in traffic !!
My workmates thought I was joking till I showed him and asked him to collect the mangled bit that was still in the glove under the scales, I thought he was going to faint, and he said he vomited a little ... Big girls blouse lol

Cheers thicker fingers would be better lol
At least they are only using local anaesthetic so I was able to tuck into sausages and bacon covered in tomato sauce for breakfast :)

It only stings when some well meaning doctor takes the dressing off and pokes it lol.
I certainly hope it gets reasonably healed quick too, I want to go out and play

Well operation carried out, it was quite interesting to watch.
They reckon 5-6 weeks before it's anywhere near healed up enough to fully use.
I might ask Lorenzo if I can borrow his hyper-baric chamber, got him all healed up super fast.

Well you won't be using that finger to scratch your arse for a few weeks! Seen a few injuries like that over the years in both engineering and in the army shouldn't take to long to heal

    Get well soon mate

Yeah, once the initial first few days are out of the way and the chance of it bleeding again has dropped off, then I can be a bit more active with it.
the biggest danger they said is infection in the bone as they chopped it down to make the wound closeable....so no scratching of the barking spider for a while..
