Was looking to buy a new S1000R and swap in my Blade, not because there is a problem with the Blade but just for a change. So went on the S1000R forum for a read and looked at the problems they are having with there new bikes. E.G. http://www.s1000r.co.uk/index.php/topic,3071.0.html So I am sticking to my Blade. Better the devil.
I am getting one next June. S1000R sport, in red. I am chopping in my blade. Hopefully, the 2016 version will not have any probs.
Done 600 miles on the s1000r, bike has a total of 1600 miles, and I'm afraid I broke this one too Left fork seal has popped !! Which from all accounts is very common !
I suppose we can either hope that future models are better or rely on technology which is decades out of date but at least tried and tested. I went the other way and bought an BMW R Nine T. Around three thousand miles in the last few months and no problems at all.
Disappointing and surprising to hear of these relability issues especially as bmw have such a good reputation in the car and air cooled boxer world.
There are so many problems with the BMW S1000R; I may have to re-think. It will probably be a new BLADE in 2017.
Dam I got this link to my email and thought there was some info on the 2016 zx10r. If anybody has heard anything please start a new thread.
It doesn't and stop throwing mud, haha. Kawasaki's rocker in wsbk, bsb and tt racing and there pretty dam good on my local roads too, haha lol.
Mine has been fine and loving it. You also read stuff about Blades burning oil too even though my 09 didn't
