I've had a couple of test rides on the S1000R Sport, the first time i was getting used all the features and the second time i was riding the same roads i normally ride and just riding for myself - I've ordered one with all the wizz bangs and some extras - I can only describe it as like riding a naked Blade, it tips in just right,it goes like stink and stops like someones dropped anchor! if the build quality is as bad as some say it will be gone just like my 2012 Blade WITH ABS did and maybe try the 1290 Superduke unless Honda get their finger out and bring a naked to the party that has all the go and show of the current super nakeds. just my opinion of course - everyone has a different view and that's what makes forums interesting...
Ah well I'm 5.10 11 stone something, I can see you on one of those muscle cruisers, yammy v max, ducati diavel
Aha I did try the Duc too! On the quite I like it, Ha. BM was great when it went. Just I was unlucky I guess.
This will be my next bike, June next year. Unless a whole new blade comes out with gold forks and reliable ABS.
Well, have ordered a black s1000r sport with Akrapovic can. Can't say I'm 100% sure I've made the right decision as I still love my blade, but need to try to keep the top speeds down and my wrists could do with being less sore around town. The s1000r is great for town/A roads. Liked the torque, riding position, quick shifter and the electronics. Didn't like the steering damper - waggles at high speed under hard acceleration - mirrors are SHITE with the vibrations, seat not very comfy. But overall a great bike. My overall impression, if I'm honest, is that it wasn't as quality a product as my 20th anniversary blade in terms of overall smoothness, fit and finish. I guess if I don't get on with it then there'll always be more blades!!! Would be unable to resist an all new one with toys.
