I had the cb1000r it was a good bike after suspension was set up, had decat and Akra which made it sound nice.. Did 6000 miles in 8 months as I remember with no issues but motorway mileage made me sell it as it was a pain in the neck quite literally

Tbh it's a bit underpowered, I have a Superduke 990 now while I decide what to do next which I love to bits it's fun, fast and noisy lol

Looking 1290, tuono factory, s1000r as I'm no longer commuting but have read a lot of issues with 1290 which does worry me tbh but both other bikes have issues if you look deep enough on forums etc

in mine , since june ,spent quite 5000 for suspension , engine tuning (head , cams, pistons) , exhaust etc.etc
    good bike plenty of handling
even more than an s1000r (i also own one)
must say ,at the moment my 2004 and gixxer 1k are favourite ride , btw

I'll be trading my blade for an S1000RS next week I think. Really not sure I'm doing the right thing. Much prefer the superduke but couldn't live with the long list of issues they have. Latest one is a recall on account of bursting into flames, reading the KTM forums.

Yeah, I'm aware of a few bimmer issues. Not in the same league as the superduke probs though.

I'm sure I'll be back for the 2017 blade.
