I jumped in at the deep end as well, when i passed my test in may everyone told me to do a TD as it makes you a better rider, my mates invited me along so i went and it was the best thing i could of done, amazing day ay Donny and learned so much, you start to realise the bikes true potential and its was greater than you think it is from simply road riding. I'm booking my next one now.

The Ron Haslam does appeal to me but it is an expense, if you book at Donny you can go out with their instructors and they don't charge.

    Fully agree!!

And you asked about the noise test with carbon Yoshi R77. I've got identical one, and without the baffle it has been measured (many times) at 102db.
So, you'll pass all the TD tests, except those with ridicoulous limit of 98db.

forgot to mention I have a R77 Yoshi, passed between 102 and 104db without a baffle so less with one. And that was at brands, Silverstone, Donny, Cadwell etc...

I finally got my leathers today, (a story I may share if I'm in a bad mood one day), and am now eager to have a go at a novice track day, done a couple in cars, but will be the first on a bike, I can't wait :)
