Evening all.. Going on a mission around some of the finer mountain passes across Europe next week.. During a sudden dose of reality that I've now got only 4 days to sort my life out, i figured travel insurance may be a good idea ! Ive done the usual money supermarket.com thing and all was looking good, and cheap, until i realised it only covers bikes below 125cc, which isn't gonna cut it ! Getting quotes for motorbike travel isn't as easy... Ive found one quote for £64.83, which is understandable to an extent but compared to the standard travel insurance of a mere £14.95, which gave me £5m in medical cover, on a motorbike it drops to £2500 .. Anyhow, any travellers out there, who have you gone to for cover ? I thank you...
Just had a look and they cover track days, winters sports and golf but no option for riding a bike Maybe its gonna be an old school phone call job
Hence why I posted the link! If they cover that lot at reasonable cost then what U want is a piece of Urine I'd expect. Ring em and C
Look at Holidaysafe.co.UK Their standard cover includes motorcycle touring. I've had the multitrip policy for the past couple of years. Only costs me about £30 a year.
I use Direct travel insurance, include cover as long as wearing a helmet and hold a licence https://www.direct-travel.co.uk/single-trip-travel-insurance/ Don't forget your E111 health card, breakdown cover and to take loads of pictures!
Carole Nash. I have moved to a local insurer probably not available to mainlanders. But I used Carole Nash for a few years About £60-70 a year, and they covered motorcycle travel. Lots of stuff covered - seemed tops.
