    Guys,

I've treated myself to a brand new pair of A*'s GP Plus Gloves, and had to decide whether to go with comfort fit or slightly larger.
I opted for the comfort fit figuring they would ease up from use, and with sweaty hands etc, just like my Dainese Pro Carbons did before these.

However, this hasn't happened and as my hands get hot & swell up in the warmer weather, they are ridiculously hard to get off.

What methods have any of you tried and found to work, to stretch gloves you've purchased?

Other than this, they are so comfortable, they just need stretching slightly.

You just need to wear them more! My old pair of alpinestars gloves seemed really comfy when I got rid of them for a new pair and new seemed very tight despite being same size but with more wear they have started to give a little and fitting like my old pair

I got the AStars GP Plus as a present in the summer... and like you, picked a size assuming they would wear in and give... which hasn't quite happened.
They are getting there, but I still have a problem with my right thumb... after an hours ride, my right thumb is literally locked into the glove!
I'm seriously toying with running a hot bath, donning the gloves, and sitting in there for an hour with my hands in the water.

Try putting some talcum powder in them. Also works wonders on your seat for helping your move around a bit easier in the twisties.

I was thinking of the soaking option too. Then wear them round the house, and make fists with them, to help stretch.

@thefirebloke - Thanks for the tip, but I'll pass on the talc option on the seat ta. Lol.

Don't soak them, just spray them with water inside & out till damp, pop em on and wear them round the house where its warmer till they're dry.If you soak them through it'll take forever to dry :)

I've used Nikwax glove proofer on tight gloves before now. It softens them and has the added bonus of waterproofing the leather.

Do you think this would help to shrink gloves too?

I bought a pair of Rukka gloves a couple of months back, as they were amazingly comfortable, yet with the size 11, I could not get my hand on, but the size 12 gives a bit of floppy finger syndrome.

Literally just a couple of mm, but enough to irritate, and not it is getting a bit colder I'll want to be wearing them more.

To be honest mate, I have no idea... could completely trash them for all I know. I would only try it as an absolute last resort.

Update - Just sprayed my gloves with water both inside and out, and whilst donning some marigolds, forced the gloves on.

Dye ran onto the marigolds and now they feel looser. After an hour, off they came and feel better.
Just need to treat them now with some weather protection.

Have the same and they took ages to wear in and feel comfortable. I've had a layoff from bikes for 12 (long) months and the gloves are as bad as when I got them again. Looks like they need regular use, at first the other half thought it was strange wearing them to bed but once I'd explained the health benefits of safe sex she soon came round.

I have the same gloves and exactly the same experience - XL was too loose but L was a bit tight around the fingers. I've worn then for about a year now and I think they are better, but probably still a bit snug. I might look elsewhere for gloves next time to be honest...
