Full details to follow but just putting the feelers out there for my beautiful, immaculate and cherished 2005 RR5 CBR1000RR in Marc Marquez colours. Only 8700 miles Stunning condition throughout Never used in the wet Maintained to the highest standard Many, very expensive mods added I purchased this beauty about 18 months ago when she had just 4500 miles on her. It was originally in red, blue and silver but I never really liked those colours, but I thought it more important to buy a bike because it was immaculate, than a so so bike in the colours I liked. I then set about making her into the bike I wanted. I've always loved the shape of the RR4/5 but thought it could do with being brought up to date; also I love the latest Repsol colours so my first step was to change to colours. Then I needed to make the wheels orange, I could have got the wheels powder coated but then I saw a brand new, unused pair of 2010 Repsol wheels for sale and knew they were the ones to get. I also purchased 2010 front and back brake calipers which were monoblock (fronts) design and far better than those on the 2005 model. The photos show how the bike has evolved since I've had her. The bottom photo is how she looks today. My friend who is a professional photographer shot this photo yesterday so this is her condition now. Never been involved in an accident nor sustained any damage I clean and maintain her more than I ride her! Yes you can although it makes life easier if you can put the bike upright on a paddock stand. There is a short black plastic guard already there which just unclips and pulls off. Slightly bend a curve in the new one (only very slightly to make fitting easier) and holding it in place and as high as you can, slide it down ensuring the sides slide behind the lip there is on each side of the radiator. No bolts or screws are needed as so long as either side is behind the lip, it just wedges in there. Simple, job done in 10 mins if that.
