Had a day out on the blade, all by myself... haven't done that for a few years! Went down M5 to J23 and picked up A39 to Minehead... carried on past Minehead an up onto Exmoor... stunning, stunning scenery, absolutely breathtaking. Best bit was, hardly another sole on the entire road. Carried on past Porlock, to Lynton... was in half a mind to turn round and follow the A39 back... beautiful road! At Lynton got on B3223 to Simonsbath, which was nice enough... then B3224 -> A396 and back to the A39, and back home the way I came. Fabulous day, bike was flawless, as per usual. Patted the tank
so after weeks of waiting for a pc3 power commander and a few other bits i finally got the bike in bits and fitted it, along with a K&N air filter and the O2 eliminator plug, the bike is running like a different machine, went out for a ride and it was way more responsive down low, although i suspect this is due to the new air filter as the old one was very very clogged up, will be getting a custom map for the commander next week which should fine tweak everything and give me a few more horses. i will try video it and get it on here.
Took the wheels off yesterday to fit my new tyres so put my powder coated rad guard in there at the same time then the pipes started to play on my tuts so made an effort to clean them! Then started I improving the looks of the heel guard. A few more coats of lacquer today should do it. Currently sat in Thunder Road waiting for my tyres to be fitted.
Rode it, patted the tank at every coffee shop because it was really on song, got home, cleaned it and then gave it another pat. I love my blade...
Got my tyres fitted and refitted the wheels after giving the callipers a quick service (forced the pistons out a little, sprayed degreaser in them and agitated the gunk then pushed back the pistons and coated them with red rubber grease before working them back and fore), finished polishing the pipes and then fitted my Ten Kate caliper retainer and carbon heel guard.
Carbon fibre SP seat cowl and tail fairing arrived. Will fit onto my SP subframe quite nicely. Will post another pic once the numberplate and tail light is fitted
Started my 2015 Repsol conversion and got my HM Dash back. They took a day to turn it around so excellent service
