    hi all
been quoted £75 to fit a superlite qs to the blade
is this a fair price the guy said it was a bit time consuming fitting to a blade
or should I have a go myself
I fitted and took of and refitted for the new owner my last qs
but that was one plug under the tank on a Daytona
is there any thing major I should look out for or should
I just cough up the cash

Its not to bad to fit a hm unit you need to access the top of your coils so that will mean removal of the air box and fuel tank as long as you dont mind messing about with that you should be fine

Have a go your self, there are so many videos out there to show you how to get the tank, airbox off it if you haven't done that before . After that you follow the instructions supplied easy peasy. And if you do go wrong, you would have done half the job so will cost half the price for a fix lol.

Hardest part is getting to the coil packs, if the £75 is based on a couple of hours it's a fair price IMO especially if it's a blade and in road trim

I fitted the HM lite today in 2 hours. I wouldn't bother taking it to someone you will do it easy if you take your time. Quality bit of kit.

right going to try it myself,
cannot find any videos on youtube
of a step by step process though
found hm instillation one but that is not for a honda and does not show how to get to the coils
and found one that changes air filter
so will have to wing it from there
just need to measure the shift rod now

Remove all the air box ect, there are videos for this search pair removal or pair blanking. As I just used these vids for this. The coils are under the rubber black protector. All in vid just doesn't show the actual step for connecting hm. The instructions you got will take over from there.

Have a look at this video. Its Van doing a PAIR removal. But basically gives you an idea of what to do to get to the plugs you're after for installing the HM unit.

    Hope this helps
