All of the scenarios that could play out at Valencia in regards to the 2015 MotoGP™ World Championship title fight. The MotoGP™ title battle goes to the final event of the year with just seven points separating championship leader Valentino Rossi and teammate Jorge Lorenzo. If the two riders finish equal on points then Lorenzo will take the title because he has more wins in 2015. Below are the scenarios with regard to the championship title: If Lorenzo wins the race then Rossi needs to finish second to become world champion. If Lorenzo finishes second then Rossi needs to finish on the podium to become world champion. If Lorenzo finishes third then Rossi needs to finish sixth or better to become world champion. If Lorenzo finishes fourth then Rossi needs to finish ninth or better to become world champion. If Lorenzo finishes fifth to ninth then Rossi needs to finish no more than six places further back to become world champion. If Lorenzo finishes lower than ninth then Rossi will be world champion.
Like many people, I have my favourite riders and some I really dislike BUT more important to me is the actual racing itself and the skill and guts of the riders. On that basis, I would like to see the best rider win this season and IMO Lorenzo has been the best. Whilst he is a few points behind VR he has 6 race wins and I admire riders who go for the win rather than settle for points.Hitting the front and staying there is not easy especially with the competition in Moto GP.......the guy can ride that bike. Lorenzo may not be popular (understatement) but he is a very talented rider and is always competitive, he also has got into a potential winning position by riding fairly which means a lot to me.
Can you imagine Lorenzo and the other spaniards having a fight while Rossi sail pass the lot and claiming the championship on Spanish soil? I wish...
Under normal conditions only four bikes will contest the podium (2 works Hondas and 2 works Yamahas) with maybe an occassional Ducati. MM has already proved it's possible to podium from the back of the grid, winning in 125 and 3rd. in Moto 2. DP is the rider on form, a Spanish rider in Spain he will be going for a win. JL has proved he can shag his tyres by trying to hard to soon. That only leaves MM for VR to deal with. By half distance VR should have cut through the field as most of them won't be any problem. So it's Danni to win and the other three to make something interesting happen, unless Yamaha sabatage JL;s bike, just a thought.
VR for the championship, MM tos--r just deprived us of a magical battle, now Lorenz will win, but has he? Me voting for the Red Sea to happen, allow VR passed Just my opinion
Bridal pathway opened up by all other riders to allow VR to get to front by turn 3 !! ok that's extreme ! What about Marquez to knock off Lorenzo on last lap...... ??
I thoroughly dislike Lorenzo I love VR and everything he stands for Marquez is a prat Pedrosa is brilliant I hope Pedrosa wins, I expect Marquez second, Lorenzo third and I am hoping to any higher powers that may exist that VR finished 4th. Surely that is the best possible scenario...? Well of course there are better scenarios (Lorenzo to have a mechanical failure so he can watch VR coast to the title) but I suspect that is wishing too much. Either way, for good or bad reasons this is one world championship I will never forget... I have had butterflies all week... great entertainment!
