Hello everyone... After some new tyres front and rear. These are what I was told by the local dealer would be the best. Don't want something that will square off quickly. What's your opinion on tyre? For fast Touring or Commuting i would recommend the following : Bridgestone T30’s (Best tyre on the market at the moment) Michelin Pilot Road 4 Dunlop Road Smart 2 Sports riding Bridgestone S20 EVO Any advice would be great!

Hello had S20 on bike when new only lasted 1700 miles then put on S20 evo good sports tyre with lots of side grip and lasted 3500 however on mostly twisty route if I was replacing now with the colder weather I would put on T30 or has others say pr4 although I have never used them,
Pr4 fanatic myself but the m7rr very close second - but need to try couple sets before final decision ha... Tried most the others and none seem the match the all round ability whilst these don't compromise at all imo
OK it's looking like the PR4s. Popping over on Saturday to have a look at them anyhow. The PR4's are £257 for 2 fitted, does that sound about right?

I've hot Dunlop sportsmart on my cbr600, they seen to get a lot hotter than the BT016's which are on my Gixer 750. I'm having the same problem, can't decide between sport smarts, PR4's and m7rr.
I have swapped my D212pro track day tyres for M7RR for winter, only had a go in the dry so far and impressed with the quick warm up and grip from them on the roads, will see how it goes when wet and colder
I had roadsmats on my previous bikes, the made the steering slower (rounded profile) which didn't suit me. the original pilot power is excellent. got 4500 miles, ride all year, handling is excellent (well beyond my capabilities) for road use (winter, summer, rain) and because of the price, it hurts less if you have to change it because of punctures!
Punctures, tell me about it. Was a nail in the rear tyre and reluctant to just get it fixed, wouldn't feel 100% comfortable, rather get both tyres replaced...
iv repaired my tyres..i know many that do the same and go on tracks.. not had any issues.. I had a puncture once on my way home after spending £250 on new tyres - got recovered and repaired.. if i bought new tyres every time i had a puncture - id be flat broke.. lol
I use PR4's also and am very impressed with them both wet and dry and from the initial off too. I also repair my own tyres with plugs, like RepsolSam I too would be flat broke if I didn't, but I also won't repair the same tyre more than 3 times and won't put mushrooms within 6" of each other and won't go too close to the edges either.
Are there any tyre repair kits on the market you would recommend? Never repaired a 'motorcycle' tyre before. Wouldn't know whether to take tyre off or to keep it on during repair. Thanks
