Yay can't wait! bringing two keys this time as last time I did a euro (in Feb) I only had one key and it started bending on day 1 and was looking very iffy
that has to be the worst,i always put 1 in the bike, pack 1 in my kit bag,and take the 3rd key with me just in case. you excited yet neil
Everybody have a good time. I got to meet a few of you, hope you all had a blast. It took me a wee while to get my head back in the right place and never got quite fully into it but was in the ballpark.
Was a top top weekend! Great event awesome track and funny as.... Great to get on the bike again and feel good for a change (and not crash) Totally not bike fit though having not been on the bike since June but which made it hard at times.... But just what I needed to put a shit year on the bike to bed tbh.... Even if I did have to dodge someone's exploding exhaust wadding for a whole lap Loved it. Will be going back.... Roll on 2016
Did Portimao in October and had one dry day out of three! Going back there end of May next year with no limits for the four dayer. Hopefully 4 dry days this time. Jerez looks fantastic and is on the to do list after next years Portimao trip.
Yeah, I thought the same about Portimao as my first euro trip, despite the weather the track is awesome and the location of the hotel is perfect overlooking the beach.
Two problems there! First was you'd just overtaken me and second was I backed off even more as I dodged carbon end caps, wadding and the internals for a whole lap... Came in as I was laughing so much, only other option would of been to stay out until you came round again
If you were as slow as Scooby, that wouldn't have taken very long. Thankfully no one is as slow as Scooby.
Had a wicked time! Got to Jerez early on Monday, so went to the track and sat in the "pitstop", saw Danny Kent racing around the track whilst sitting in the sun having a drink I went with 4 mates and loved the whole event, Hotel was fab, and down the road from the track. I loved the track, layout was great, and grip was excellent, facilities weren't bad, . Weather was blinding. When we got there in the morning (slightly late) it was rammed, and I asked for more garages to be opened but Claire said they only hired 16. I saw zee Germans with there own private garage at the end, so in the end my and mates paid and hired out a garage, so we were up at garage 22. I'm in novice and have been riding like a big girls blouse all year so my times aren't going to give Danny Kent sleepless nights, but by the end of day 3 I managed to shave 8 seconds off my end of day 1 time. But the biggest thing for me was gaining confidence on the bike to lean it over (and get my knee down, as I had been unable on my new bike) and to really get my head down and to the side of the bike. ........until the 3 to last session on Monday and I went wide coming onto the back straight and went in the gravel....whoops end of TD for me. Bit sore and bike has gravel rash but no bent bits. Had a good walk around but didn't know anyone's faces or bikes so didn't meet anyone from here or trackdayriders forum, although I did talk toa few peeps in the bar. Oh and the fabled Argentinian steak house was fantastic!
I'm not sure if I met you. I know jade and Scooby, and I met jimbo, so maybe we chatted without knowing. I was in garage 4, in fast group on a very very loud green zx10r after my exhaust tried to kill jimbo
