Focused Events - Portomao - 6th May 2016 - 10th May OK, a couple of mates and myself have booked on this, always wanted to do Porto, can't wait. I'm in inters, mates in fast, taking the misses so she can get some sun whilst I am on track. Never used Focused before for a Euro so can see what all the moaning is about Either way it should be good, but 4 days ontrack......jesus that is going to be heavy.

Portimao is a fantastic track! I'm there for four days at the end of May with No Limits. Mike Edwards has just added Portimao to his 'how I ride' series of instructional DVDs. Might be worth adding to your Christmas list. His website is v121pro.com.
"Ps what moaning have you heard ??" - just the standard bikes damaged, lost kit etc. First time using FE on a Euro trip, so ill keep a open mind....just looking forward to doing the track.
You'll have a great time..... yes I think they have had kit missing and damaged bikes on odd occasions I wont use them for more personal reasons following a off I had last year in Almeria...... which in my opinion if they had adhered to the strict rules they state wouldn't have happened....... as it involved one of their "Star Instructors" and a rider receiving info on a tuition session.....
great track,not done it for 4 years now,and tbh not sure I'd go back atm as the reports I keep getting about the bumps is putting me off,used just to be 1 spot but even down the strat/finish straight is getting bad now
I'm supposed to be going here in May with FE as well, just waiting for my mate to get his money sorted. I've not heard anything bad about FE or the track being bumpy. should I be worried or is it not too much of an issue now a days?
The track is bumpy in a few places but for me it didn't detract from how great the circuit is. I'll be amazed if u get back and say you haven't loved the place.
Good, im glad you said that, i was waiting for people to start saying its not what it used to be and your bikes will end up knackered if FE taking it etc.
but it isn't what it used to be,and some peoples bikes do end up knackered,some even lost for month or so.... but,i'm sure you'l love it
I'm there in May with No Limits, and have been there for the last 3 years in a row. Yes, it is not as silky smooth as it was when it first opened, but the bumps add to the character of the place...and if its geed enough for WSB, its good enough for me!
