Simon, does that mean it will be fine for anyone up to 85kg? I am 80kg at the moment so would that be ok?
^This Also you can sell the spring that is in the shock and make back half of what you'd need to outlay for a spring for yourself. Being weighted for someone around the 85kg mark would be the most commonly used spring and should sell easily.
Well the HO 604 is classed as 06-07 shock, people say they are interchangeable with the HO 347 and in fact they are the same diamensions but with Slightly different valving, HO 604 being slightly newer design I guess?
One of the changes was to the geometry of the rear suspension... the 06-07 bikes came as standard with what was an HRC part on 04-05 bikes (something to do with the suspension linkages) If your shock works on a standard 04-05, then I don't think it would work on a standard 06-07... nothing to do with it not fitting, but more today with damping and spring rates. At least, that's my understanding...
I didn't expect it to be, but it was worth an ask, always a chance A new shock is the first thing on my list to do to the bike this year, as you say I doubt it has ever been serviced. I'll likely go for a Nitron one sprung for my weight, just because it is easier and I also quite like the blue
