First musicians from my youth died, then closer to home on Monday our cat then yesterday unexpectedly a very close personal friend of ours went to the afterlife. An ex biker who despite giving up motorcycles refused to let his wife throw away is helmet, gloves, boots or jacket “just in case”. Rest in peace Barrie. Far less important, corporate decisions are being made which will impact on me and my teams livelihoods. Whilst some higher up the ladder might not agree with my methods I have consistently year after year got the results they wanted and should be safe enough but what I couldn’t do is sleep well if I have to hang my team without taking a bullet with them. But if they want to put that slug between my eyes, I don’t want a blindfold. I want to be able to look them in the eyes, something my director doesn’t seem able to do to me at the moment, whilst I read the payoff cheque which after 19 years’ service plus 2015’s performance bonus will be more than enough for the long taxi home via the wine shop. Not the best frigging start to 2016, but hay, I am still here which more than I can say for some.
Sorry to hear youre having a crap start to the year dave.hope things improve soon. It could be worse you could be from devon!
Oh no. It's two glasses or nuthin'. I don't intend to be responsible for dragging you by the feet home from the field.
Sorry to hear that your year hasn’t gotten off to the best start. I like how you are loyal to your team. The working environment is full of people now that show no loyalty or respect for others around them and feel it necessary to step on everyone to get to where they want to be because they perceive that to be the way in which to become “successful”. I hope your year picks up soon mate.
Thanks for that pal, they say things have to get worse before they can get better.......well they did. I wont go into it in public but Ken and Jimbo know exactly what I am talking about.
