Bridgestone's only lasted 1500 miles, got pilot power 3's on at the moment. So far excellent on the wet, not had a dry day yet so can't really compare.

    Welcome

As everyone has been saying, some cracking roads up your way. A few of us have a Scotland ride out thread running on here. Would be good to get a bunch of us together during the riding season and get some trips organised.

Anyway, hope you enjoy the forum and I will hopefully see you on a ride out sometime :).

    Cheers,

    Danny

You must be champing at the bit to get out your new blade. As you say nice to look at and put bits on. I'm going to put Ventureshield on mine next week, wish I had done it sooner.

how does that stuff go on. Iam getting a 929 which is as new and its all mine and may try it, whereas the new blade is on pcp at the mo and wont bother, trying to get rid of it actually as I dont want it and theres still no miles on it at all.

Basically there is a kit you can get, it has pre cut shapes for the parts of the bike that is prone to stone chips, scratches etc. You have to make sure the surface is extremely clean and free from any polish residue, I used isopropyl alcohol.
You make up a solution of water and a tiny amount of liquid soap, fairy liquid for example. You spray the solution on your fingers both sides of the ventureshield and the part of the bike you are applying it to. It will slide until you get it in place then squeegee out the water solution.

To be honest I had never done anything like this before so there was a bit of trial and error and it took longer than I thought. Do a search on Google there is lots of information on the subject.
