Hi everyone, after around 20 years of owning mostly CBR 600RR's in October last year I got a mega deal on a new bike off John Banks Honda in Bury St Edmunds Suffolk and I now have my first fireblade. I've always promised myself one and it's eventually happened. It's still sitting in my garage at the moment with 2 miles on the clock... Only mods so far are R&G rad and downpipe guards. I am currently in the process of researching exhausts. I have made my mind up on one of 3, the akrapovic GP slip on, the black edition Racefit or the Termignoni titanium. I know this is a popular topic as everyone has different views. I really like the racefit I'm just a bit worried about it being a bit to loud.... Anyway glad to me a member of the Fireblade gang Cheers John
Welcome to the forum and enjoy your new bike! Racefit are good and if you get a growler end cap you can fit a baffle so can quiet it down if too much for you! But with it out it sound immense

How loud is it though? I did email Racefit to ask what DB it was but they said it depends on the bike and different conditions etc so a bit vague really. I've not actually heard one but a few people reckon they are just a bit to loud but no denying the look so cool.
There's a short vid on here somewhere Marion posted of it in action but I can't find it. Don't know where you based but the Racefit factory is at Darley Dale which just happens to be near the biker mecca Matlock Bath in case you were in the area
They are loud but personally I think they sound beautiful. There a few utube vids with them on if you have a look
Hi John, welcome to the forum. Why have you only got 2 miles on it? It's a Fireblade you know, not a CBR 600, you can take them out in the winter and they will still make you smile Well done on getting your 1st Blade. Enjoy your bike and take your time getting to know it, starting off steady and building it up. They are fantastic useable bikes.
Welcome John, this is a great place to be. I too bought my 1st blade last year from the same dealership (albeit used), hope to actuallu use it this year!

Hi John, welcome to forum. Not got my new Blade yet but sooooon. Just a thought for discussion, I have heard Racefit looks and sounds good but quality is poo? Anybody any ideas if this is right as I have Racefit or Akro option at the moment??
