Where's code from , can anybody use it and how long does it last before it will expire Prob get my new bike in a week @iang27
Just a note though, the akra stubby for the 2015s, don't come with a baffle, it's a extra £60. It is loud without it in, definitely not road legal, but does sound nice.
If you order the baffle at the same time you may get the discount applied to that as well. Cant see it on the Doble site but if you ring them up and give them the part number they should be able to get it for you. Part number is V-TUV158.
The code has worked for weeks. I tried to use it AND get their 12 months interest free but they have got it so you can't have both. No harm in me trying though !
I wouldn't waist your money on a baffle it won't be near as loud as the pre 2013 bikes. Yours will still have a cat fitted on the headers
I decided not to get mine from abroad, which was were I was looking to get it from initially, I wasn't sure if the warranty would be valid, not that you need it but you never know! Fitted the slip on today, just updating the PC5 and making sure the stock map is on it. Unfortunately there's no map on the power commander website for this one. It should work fine without a customer map apparently and I was looking at the dyno near me who are charging £180 for 3 hours to create a custom map. Might not take that long I suspect, just covering themselves....
If you can buy it from Doble for £467 delivered there is no need to go abroad or pay £83 more from Calsport
Very nice fella... It's only nuts and bolts so shouldn't be too much trouble + it's an Akrapovic so you know it's going to fit bang on....
It's not the akropovic nuts and bolts that I'm worried about, it's the Honda fairings that are the problem haha
Has anyone got a PC map for this bad boy or are you running the Akra without a PC? Only options on the PC website are the ones in the screenshot below.
You wont need to remove any fairing thankfully, unless you include the plastic cover for the servo cable under the rear seat cowl which is really simple to remove. Took me 40 minutes to remove the OEM exhaust and fit the new one following the instructions provided. I would say though that when you manually turn the servo to remove the cable, make sure you rotate it back to its original position. Otherwise you may get an error code as the servo is out of position
