Hi boys and girls, I'm brad, 26 and I'm from Tamworth in the Midlands.

I've FINALLY got back on 2 wheels after an arduous 5 year gap, I've been doing grown up things, buying a house ect...

The last bike I had was a 2007 Ducati 749s, obviously in red, I genuinely loved that bike, but I got itchy feet for my poster dream car at the time, so I sold if for a brutal Mitsubishi Evo 9MR FQ360 by HKS, Obviously in red... Drove the wheels off that for 18 months, then I decided I had better do some long overdue growing up, so bought an almost sensible car (BMW 330Ci) and my first house, it will be 2 years in July, so it's about time I got myself a bike before I completely lost my mind, so I went hunting, looked at a lot of over priced dogs, then by accident I found my 2013 Repsol blade with ABS at vertu Honda at Grantham, I didn't really want to buy a bike till the end of this month, but it was 3 years old with 300 miles on the clock, so I couldn't really turn it down, so I give into my inner boy and threw down a deposit, I've had it almost a month and I'm finally up to 1000miles, I can start enjoying the revs a bit more now.
I'm absolutely loving my bike, I just wish I could get back to being as good as I was on the Ducati, it's coming, slowly. I've had to do some serious brain reprogramming, the bike just generates speed from nothing!
Anyway I'll shut up now.... Here's a pic

This is mine and my dads bike, we are riding to my uncles villa in Spain in July, I can't wait, I really can't!

Welcome.!! I bort my blade as we're looking to buy a house now so thought I'd better get it now before I have to be sensible lol. The repsol looks mint! 300 miles? That's madness, why people buy bikes and not ride them il never know.

    Can't stand Repsols myself :D.

Nice that you and your dad are enjoying riding together.

My dad at 73 last year was wanting a R6 as classed himself a an old cafe racer type !! Having a stroke at Christmas has put him back but still a chance.

    Have fun.

Thanks everyone, I've been franticly buying bits and fitting them ready for our rite to spain in july, so far its:

Heated grips, wired though a relay using the number plate light as a switch wire
    R&G Rad guard
    R&G Tail tidy
    R&G swing arm bobbins
    Pyramid Fenda extenda
Zero gravity light tint Corsa screen
    De-yolked indicators
    Bagster Tank harness
    Bagster roader tank bag

its all coming together nicely, can't wait till this crap weather passes so i can ride it.
I've still got to fit my Scottoiler eSystem, hopefully going to fit the display up to the left of the clocks so i can see it, I'm also going to have to chop the wiring and put a plug in under the plastic tank cover thing, but, as the weathers so poor at the minute, i think ill put the heating on in the garage and lock myself in there for the weekend.

I also went a bit nuts in the shop a couple weeks ago, as my leathers seem to have shrunk in the 5 years they've been in the loft......
treated my self to an alpinestars black shadow textile jacket, alpinestars track pants, alpinestars KR1 back protector, alpinestars 365 gloves, alpinestars super tech R boots, so I'm basically a walking, talking, sometimes riding, alpinestars manakin, my magpie reflex properly kicked in, but my current and favourite excuse is a good one .... how often do you buy new riding gear.... might swell have good gear so it lasts longer.

Me and my dad used to ride together every weekend when i had my 749s, we want all over the country, sampling the beacon sarnies.
He's an observer for the local IAM groupe, so I've got unlimited free training when i can get him out for a ride, I'm hopefully going to get my IAM test passed before we leave for Spain too, but i need to pass with a F1RST accreditation too as I've already done my car test with a F1RST, so I've already set the bar.

oh sweet, we should hook up for a ride some time, weather pending though, i really want to ride this thing, I've been promising myself to go to race meets for ages, WSB, BSB, Moto GP, BTCC, i just need someone to go with as all the guys i used to ride with are either without a bike or have a ball and chain around the ankle
