I've had a set on my rr6 for the past 3 years and they're still going strong. I wonder if the way the fairings are mounted on this model causes more stress on the mounting points? I saw a clip on YouTube a few months back where the exact same thing happened to a guy running aftermarket copies on this model.

On my 09 the right hand one came loose..well they are only clipped in with small tabs,,cracked as it was flapping around infront of my foot, another bike stopped me as I could not see it,,i repaired it and used self tapping screws where the lower tabs locate, very easy for it to unclip,,dont trust it really.

Used them on track days and ok but then there will always be a chance of getting a bad batch I suppose

It's common knowledge, that's why I only do 149 mph.

Seen a similar thing happen to an oem set where the front lower clips had not been refitted properly!

It didn't completely snap off like above but did act like a big umbrella and that happened at less than 70mph!

That why I use Chinese for track days as they cheap to replace compared to OEM

It's a problem with the blades of this era as mentioned ... They only have locating tabs on the bottom fairing and so easily pop out if not seated properly, even on the original panels. The top of side fairing clips to the air tubes which are not an issue on the OE stuff but can see why it is on pattern stuff ...

you cant deny that for the money (majority) of those kits offer good value especially when they come finished in team colours etc.....
