BMW Battery rest HELP

    Ok guy I know this in not my blade but I'm sure someone can help? I'm going to change my battery and plan to keep a charger attached to the car to keep all of the setting, however I need to tell the "DMC" that Ive install a new battery do any of you guys know how I do that??

    I've read through as many posts as I can find and it would appear that you must, what they call register the battery with the car, the car will charge the battery according the how it sees the condition type etc, if you do not reset it you risk shortening the battery life because the car thinks it's working with a failing battery and will overcharge a new perfect condition one.
    Given that the battery is £160 and not registering it with the car voids its warranty Im having it registered at a local garage, I hate paying other people lol

    I still have the EDIABAS tool kicking around after changing the battery on my '07 E91 if you need to borrow it. Just don't ask me how to use it as it's been a while :eek:
