A bit of a lightweight contribution from me You know the, er, minimalist size number plates do not have room for a GB, or in my case a GBG. So as not to get stopped made a little bracket from a bit of plastic. Choose the smallest GBG I could find - do not want a GBG with the letters bigger than the numbers on the number plate ! - (next time will make something smaller myself) Cut a shape to fit, including the oval GBG shape Sand all the coating off the plastic, so that glue will stick to it Stick a small extra piece at the back to reinforce the weakest point at the oval Stick it all together with some sort of glue that you mix together and allow 18 hours to dry !! Tidy the edges with a file Stick it to the back of the number plate with number plate sticky pads And stuck in place And this probably doesn't count, 'cause the mechanic did it while the bike was in for a service on Friday -
Cleaned up my old f650gs to sell to a lad at work! Fitted new shift rod and rose joints to replace the rod I lost Thursday what a pain it is getting that to the right length! ready for a ride out tomorrow
I bought all 3 axles as a set from a member on here, I believe they were originally made by ti64.co.uk I should know though in a few days whether or not I might be able to get some more done through another contact, will keep you updated
Fitted new standard front brake pads. Bed them in now ready for the TT, just 3 short weeks away now Sent from my SM-T320 using Tapatalk
Went out for a ride this afternoon to try the new gp quickshifter and a great ride! I thought the HM plus shifter was good but this is as smooth as silk on changes especially first to second gear which I was worried might be a bit clunky, great upgrade and good fun
Hi Dave, looking very nice. What year is your bike? Also where did you buy the exhaust infill panel? Cheers
Took the bike out for the first time since all the changes. Took some getting used to with race shift and some slight tweaks for the rear brake and it will be great.
Put tyre warmers on her and treated her to Rockingham International. She loved it. I was aching afterwards.
Nice exhaust! I've got the carbon one and OMG they're loud. Do you find they quieten down higher up the rev range?
After 4 days of riding in the good weather gave the Blade a really good wash and wax, patted the tank , put back into the garage just as the rain started to fall.
So, I didn't do ALL of this today... Silver indicator bulbs and black shorty levers with red adjusters Chinese seat cowl, re-sprayed correct black and with lacquered over custom red Honda Racing stickers, rim tape & tyres painted Integrated dark smoke tail light and Hot bodies Fender eliminator, pillion pegs removed Wouldn't recommend the fender eliminator as it broke and I lost the plate... So I replaced it with a R&G unit and a new 7x4 plate. Much much better. Rearsets and exhaust next, then start replacing any cheap crap with good stuff! Like OE seat cowl and decent levers (long on the clutch side next time as the short one took some getting used to), then maybe a quick shifter. This bike is such a joy to ride. Been using my Drift Stealth 2 cam to record some journeys, but can't share any as I can't resist the twist of the wrist!
Cheers fella, it's a 2014 bike and the infill panel is a racefit item, just waiting on painting bellypan and panel in Red.
Fitted exhaust purchased off @sps170373 cheers Steve And gave her a clean ready for a ride out to whitby tomorrow
