any help appreciated, leo vince gp pro evo 2 slip on, i did donnington with no baffle,no props. put baffle in at oulton park for 102 static test, failed at 104,gutted , lost £190. booked silverstone with focused events who say its 102 drive-by or 102 static at 3-4000rpm, oulton was static 102 at 5and1/2thousand rpm, panicking cos can't cope with that disappointment again, anyone any experience at silverstone, and obvious question , is any one else going, local honda guys have modified my baffle by cutting it and turning it inwards to divert the noise so to speak, personally can't tell any difference, cheers tony
Last time i was at brands..the tyre guy put a can of redbull in my can - passed the test and removed before i went on the track.. lol and i was fine. Think i was about 9 over for the track. 102 to 104 is not much of a difference! Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk
cheers lads, wondered why red bull was in such a small can, any idea if wrapping acoustic-fil exhaust silencer packing from demon tweeks, around the baffle will do anything, i'm taking my stock can this time but don't really want to be pissing around putting that on instead of wobbling around track, thanks again
It may be enough, but it's really hard to know for sure until you get there. Sometimes they're really lenient, sometimes they're real sticklers. Sometimes they hold the sensor right on the exhaust, sometimes they hold it a meter away (which I think is how it's supposed to be read). If you're making a habit of it, it might be worth considering changing it. Plenty of good aftermarket options available on the slightly quieter side.
at oulton he nearly lost it up there, first time its failed, its really not that loud , just think we can't upset the cheshire millionaires, especially on a wendnesday, maybe they should go to work.
Hehe. Yep! FYI brands is currently running a zero tolerance. If you get a noise fail on drive by (after the static test on the track) you'll be black flagged and not allowed back on track.
