Hello guys ...A proper hello and a big thanks for the guys that help me on what I asked... My case: http://www.1000rr.co.uk/threads/new-on-the-forum-club-from-cyprus.30824/ My first update: http://www.1000rr.co.uk/threads/where-is-the-honda-stamp-in-the-side-farings-2008.30857/ I made the first service of the bike (engine oil/oil filter , rad fluids)... As you can see on my update link when I brought the bike home I had an issue with the coolant pouring out of the overflow hose...At that moment I thought that the bike didn't had any temp issues as the temp was at 85 c-90 c at cruising but at stationary went to 108c but I thought it was normal even thought it has two fan vs the one the 05 REPSOL I have has... My first idea was that I had a bad rad cap , but after I phone my parts store the guy there said "are you sure its not a head gasket "? At that point I starting to worrying... Friday came ,and I changed the oil and then the time came...I drained the old coolant a couple of times without the cap and the fourth time I put the old cap on (I didn't want to open the new one so i could return it if the old one was ok) I removed the hose next to the cap going to the reservoir to see what/when is going to start to pouring out water... when the temp went to 84 c/85 c and the thermostat opened water was coming out from the hole...I said that ain't right and I immediately replaced the cap... Nothing came out even at 106 which was the maximum temp I'm going now when stationary... My conclusion: If you have a boiling sound coming from the reservoir and coolant is pouring out of the overflow hose , even thought your temp is below 100c then most probably its the cap... As I said earlier I just bought the bike...The previous owner put a slick tyre because it was cheaper...??? I'm going to change them ASAP... Since in Cyprus we don't have raining days ,I want a tyre mostly for dry surfraces ... I'm between Sportsmarts 2 and Qualifiers 2 ???
