So, been looking around at exhausts and concluded I don't like the look of any of the offerings. Sure, there are some works of art out there but with the standard exhaust looking so integrated on the 08 onwards blade all the offerings look so wrong sticking out from underneath.

I actually really like the look of the standard exhaust too.

Has anyone seen any projects where the standard exhaust has been modified to remove the internals of the collector box to give a more open exhaust but using the standard exterior?

If not what are the recommendations for something that is more flush looking like the original rather than the normal offering.

Not looking for loads of noise, just a more open pipe thats less restrictive whilst maintaining 'sleek' look.....

If you ride without plugs you'll notice on a partial throttle at around 4k the noise gets louder as the exup valve thingy opens up. You can replicate this by disconnecting the valve and leaving it open all the time, it's only for noise pollution anyway. Never noticed any other difference when I disconnected mine. Search for flapper mod on here. You can improve the looks by fitting the Powerbronze carbon cover.
If you prefer the later exhaust 10 plate onwards they have the plate on the side to tidy up the look and recurrent rust under the paint on the earlier ones. Got mine unused for £50

I'm a fan of the looks of the Taylor made myself, until I saw the sc project one.

Some of the exhausts for sale for these bikes look hideous for sure.

I chopped a load off the end of a damaged can, opened the side up,drilled out the cat, drilled six 10mm holes inside to allow the bypass and quick exit of exhaust, stuck to pieces of titamium tail pipes, still going to shorten them yet, sounds nice, bike runs very well, all standard.

Which SC project one do you like?
Seem the Taylor made and one the look but read it can have a noticeable performance drop...

I am going to shorten the tails as I think they are too long .

CHop the end off and discard,,remove the overpressure valve and discard.

Chop a hole in the back and drill, chisel off the CAT , I drilled 6 10mm holes in the exit pipe too then welded a plate back on.

You could cut the back end off on an angle and have no tail pipe stubbs , just one or two exit holes in the new end plate
