I have been trying to fit some gilles adjustable rearsets and have found that with a HM+ quickshifter the gear arm linkage is about 20mm too long to give you ideal placement for most of the possible foot rest positions You can just about get away with road shift pattern but not race.
The rear sets are the H10 ones with the gear lever pivoting from the frame mounted bolt. The part is the black tubular section that goes below the quickshifter unit between it and the lower rose joint.
Can you get shorter ones, when I bought the shifter it came with a shorter than OE one.

If you look on the HM website, they can make a rod to whatever length you need. About £10 or so from memory when I bought one.

    Thanks blake
I managed to sort it with a hack saw :eek:10mm off either end and 10mm off the rose joint threads and everything still goes back together with plenty of thread and is now 30+mm shorter and is perfect for all positions race or road shift;)
