More gossip on the 2017 Fireblade, the September issue of Performance Bikes, Pages 50-54 - This time from the Honda test rider Dave Hancock answering questions, he reckons: It has gone back to its roots of power to weight ratio, and a bike that people will enjoy. They have used the BMW S1000RR as its benchmark competitor, not he R1. It seems they are looking for the new Blade to continue the tradition of best all round bike. Must be getting close now !
Strange Showa semi active rear shock looks interesting. It changes to a standard style shock in the race bike. I wonder if its part of the new bike?
I am into titalation teasing also just does nt seem to come round to often ,but I do have a random shite every day
So who is ready to buy one then, if it's any good ? Personally I am interested to see what it is like, but I am not in the market for another bike, for another year at least.
I'll be looking into it when it comes out. I'll test it along with all the others though before parting with my cash.
Those pictures are of the Suzuka 24 hour blade not the new one! Just has different lights is all on that one.. Hope the new blade has more than diffrent headlights after 8 years! Hehe
All bike exhausts will be 'big' from 2017 model year, its called meeting Euro 4 regulations which newly launched 2016 bikes must meet Look at the way the 899 panigale changed when it became the 2016 959
As with any new bike from 08 onwards. (In fact even before that) Lose the lardy ass exhaust and fit a decent looking end can or go all hog and for a system. Job done. I for 1 won't be put off by a OEM exhaust, and to be fair I haven't seen many bikes with a standard exhaust over the years.
Today you can, but they've no intention of that continuing. They'll never be able to launch electric bikes till they've emasculated the petrol version. Like a frog in warming water they'll walk you into the future. The only realistic answer is.. don't buy a new bike. It's not going to be any better than a 5yr old non ABS, considering the limited skills of the average user. Your choice.
