Hi all, Having recently done a bit of touring and been through the process of deciding what to take and where to put it, I've started thinking about what items to stash in the small space under the pillion seat/seat cowl, for everyday use. My power commander lives in there, along with a tiny bottle of visor-cleaner, a multitool, a set of Allen keys, a disc lock, and my Rider 410 GPS. There's a lightning port cable and micro-USB cable in there too, which leaves just enough room for a wallet. Does anybody have anything that they keep in there and deem essential? I've considered a puncture repair kit but I'd probably just call a rescue service! Cheers, Martin
You get all that in there? I have my power commander, Honda tool kit and a cloth. The bulb suggested by Chriscbr is a good idea, but in an emergency you could always swap the high beam bulb over. I have a leg bag which I use for my phone, visor cleaner, wallet, tissues , gum etc.
If you haven't already done it I'd get an esrm and then remove the servo and locate the powercommander where the servo was! Gives loads more space under the passenger seat

wow you must have a special edition bike. you've got a lot in there! Honda tool kit + puncture repair + disc lock + spare ear plugs + spare prescription glasses. This would be my limit
I keep a paddock puck in there. It's a bit ... rural around here and solid ground under the stand isn't always as obvious to find as you'd think. It doesn't take up much room, but then, I've got a 954. You can fit an Asian elephant under the seat. Not an African one though. That'd be stupid.
Must admit I do miss the transit van like boot of my old 954! Spare visor, rain jacket spare gloves just for starters lol
I've got an RR4 so there really isn't much space under the seat but what little space there is holds a signed photo of Lionel Blair, a single serving packet of Werther's Originals, a spare t-shirt (one size too small), a photocopy of my restraining order and a tape measure to confirm that I am indeed no closer than 50ft to former Gladiators star, Jet........as stated in said order.
On a more serious now, but as well as the standard tool kit, an Abus Disk lock, some cable ties and tape, and a condom and some pipe. Not so much of an issue these days, but have you ever run out of petrol in a remote location?
If Fred West had been a motorcyclist, I'm pretty sure that's what you'd have found under the seat of his bike too
Give or take a couple of lipsticks that really aren't my colour but I don't have the heart to throw out................yes.
