Hi, anyone had experience of vinyl wrapping whole bike?

Had totally polar views when doing research.

One company said don't do it as heat from vents will warp and peel it.

Another has said that if you use a better quality wrap it is ok.

I've been quoted £1200 for a full respray and been quoted £300 for a wrap.

Had paint work done by dream machine in the past and it started to go after 4 years even after special care.

So any experience/views would be appreciated.

Seen a few pealing or bubbling from the heat, no idea on the qualities used though

Am sure I read somewhere that wrap/vinyl only last 4-5 years at most! My concern would be the removal process

I got my Vinyl Wrap from Gatorwraps . They have a lot of wraps, 3M Vinyl Wraps or Avery Denison Vinyl Wraps. You might also want to visit Gatorprints

When I looked in to it for my Track Bike I still found paint cheaper.

Hi, I wrapped the sides of the tank with 3M carbon film they looked great but with the heat they started to peal a bit. during the winter I have redone them using 3M primer on the edges it does stick a lot better I am hoping for no lift this year, The thing is you don't need a lot of heat to put it on so heat from the engine will also bring it off more so where streched

You could just get an aftermarket full fairings for £250.00 - £500.00. Just google and a shed load will pop up...just the ball ache of changing it!
