Hello all! Now then I wish to pull data from the bike RPM etc. Now cars have an OBD 2 port however I am to believe that the 08 Fireblade does not have this. What it does have I believe is a red 4 port situated next to the battery. However I wish to connect this to an OBD 2 scanner, don't suppose anyone knows a way to achieve this for example where to find an adaptor cable or something? kind regards Haydn
With euro4 bikes , it s possible buy an adapter and use it with an OBD 2 can reader as a normal car (cables for ducati ,kawasaki and yamaha are corr. available from dynojet http://dynojet.co.uk/news/2016/09/15/new-dynojet-on-board-diagnostic-cables/ ) For your bike the only solution is , https://www.healtech-electronics.com/products/obd/ , as Honda oem is not available for private use I have both , honda oem and healtech Healtech is a good solution at fair price for private use
Yeaaa I've just decided to make an adaptor myself. £37.80 for an adaptor from dynojet??? It costs hardly anything to make!
Unluckily also with an adapter you will not able to read your data It s not a can bus obd/obd2 system here the pin scheme: Green - Ground Black-White - Power Brown - SCS Orange-White - K Line (data)
If DLC PINOUT (female) >>> ELM (OBD 16 pin connector) 1-Brown > SCS ----- (Not Connected) 2-Green > Ground (0V) ------------- 4 & 5 -Chassis GND(4) & Signal GRD(5) 3-Black/white > Batt (+12V)--------16 -Battery power 12VDC 4-Orange/White > K-line ----------- 7 -K-line Why won't I be able to read it?
that s could be another solution , if it still working after 3 days.... http://www.obd2-diag.com/honda-motorcycles-obd-diagnostic-tool-p-830.html Or you can use an elm327 as sniffer on a healtech gipro
