Had mine off for cleaning recently. The header guard has a clip which attaches to one of the headers but the rivet attaching it to the mesh has broke through! Have to see about getting it repaired or fork out another 50 quid.
Just ordered one from rrg, was looking last week and this had just reminded me. Anyone fitted one without removing anything?
It's possible, it's just getting the required purchase on the right side to clip it in. Right hand side fairing is most you need to remove.
Easy to fit. Didn't remove a thing other than the bottom mount bolt. It will slide in at an angle with the front wheel on lock. Nice easy mod.
Ordered one last night for my new Black Edition. Always fitted them to my bikes.........I cannot understand why they are not fitted as standard, or offered as optional extra.
Well just an update, arrived this morning. Took 20 seconds to slot in place (dare say it would hold itself in forever) then i just lock wired the top and bottom on the clutch side and the bottom on the throttle side. Couldn't seem get through on the top that side to many fiddly bits behind the fairing. Couldn't pull it back of and looks like it should have been there from day one
Fitted mine this morning when it arrived, fast delivery, quick and easy fit and just for peace of mind ty-wrapped at the bottom (easier access without need to remove fairings etc). Looks good too.
