My Tuono

    Just changed the tail unit on my Tuono V41100 from stock to a RSV4 Factory one.

    I did it because the Factory one looked better and I am pleased within the look.....on the downside the RSV seat is like a plank and a little higher. Will give it a while but I think I may end up swapping back again !

    Agree it does look good but think I'd rather have the comfort of the original seat.

    Can you fit a gel insert into the seat?

    Did you not use your original seat?
    You can get a gel seat ( they're cheap compared to Honda's ). I've just put one on my Tuono.
    A better option is the later Tuono seat.

    Nice bike exfire. A nice carbon Akrapovic would not look out of place.

    @colin yes I expect a gel insert could be fitted and could be the solution.

    @SP1 not sure if my original seat fits the RSV Tail, might be worth asking the dealer.

    @ Dessp2 Haha yes it would although it is a long exhaust. At £1,100 just for the slip on its a lot of dosh for no power gain. If you don't buy the Akra via Aprilia then the warranty is void which is a real rip off IMO.

    Firstly, thank you all for your help.

    For a change Lady Luck came up trumps and I found one on ebay. Fitted it today and went out for a test ride. After 90 minutes I was still comfy so that is a great result. The shape fits me better than the RSV one which was also a little higher. Looks and performance.......my favourite result.

    PS Still gettin g used to the Tuono acceleration, I keep running out of road lol.
