I'm looking for a TT legends bike, but it seems the older model with the three-spoke wheels is easier to find. Can the multi-spoke wheels from the later models be retro-fitted? I'm sorry, I'm new to the blade and don't know the model designations.
If your budget allows then you would be better going for a 2012 onwards bike - a number of improvements including wheels, dash, rear shock, big piston forks, different fairing etc. You could always get it sprayed up in TT legends colours later.
I've fitted two of those cheap Chinese kits to a friend's GSXR600 (he can't stay on the thing). They're really not bad at all and serve a purpose if you're looking to get back on the road cheaply. But the fit and finish isn't OE and it's not something I'd want on my bike, unless forced.
