Hey guys. Hoping for a set of front discs as cheap as possible. The wife is moaning that as i use my bike to commute and it's costing me a bit of money in maintenance I may have to sell up if I can't start cutting my spending! It's an 06 by the way!

    Get rid of the wife.

Seriously, how can commuting on a bike be costing you much?? It's cheaper than maintaining a car and how far are you commuting? Brake discs last thousands of miles.

The problem is I had a fz6 before the blade. Ran faultlessly, cost tyres and occasional pads and that was about it. But it bored me. Sold up when we had our first daughter and brought the blade. Have had nothing but issues with one thing after another and she sees it as costing a fortune over what I had. It's approaching 35k miles now, and pads used were supplied buy a good friend at hel in February, along with braided lines. I put around 300miles a week on the bike, which isn't a great deal but I ride year round.

And to make matters worse, I ordered and am in the middle of fitting some new fairings as I have a little bonus at work so wanted to tidy up some of the plastics, for the brakes to begin playing up a week after I've spent nearly £400 on a box of plastics.
