so I need to adjust my chain as it's getting a bit slack to the point the bike is bucking in the wrong gear or playing catch up if I accelerate , trouble is who ever did it last must have been related to Hercules !!! As I can't for the life of me release the main wheel nut , any tips ?
Soak with wd40 or plusgas first then try again if still tight try a spanner and a mallet to see if you can shock free
breaker bar is you're best bet if its on there tight. Although to be honest if it was done up to the proper torque of 113nm then you should be able to crack it with a 1/2 drive ratchet and socket with not much hassle.
I had this problem cause by the last people who changed my rear tyre. The gorillas did not use a torque wrench and figures. I couldn't undo the nut. In the end I took it the same monkeys and got them to loosen it at the same time telling them off about being so brute! the used a metal tube to extend the leverage and got a heavy weight mechanic to sit on the bike while undoing the nut. If you do it yourself, get someone to site on the bike to stabilise it
I'd stop using that garage if I was you. Utter monkeys. Doing the axle up so tight can cause you're bearings to fail prematurely.
In theory the spacers should clamp up and put no load on the bearings, this is assuming it has all been designed and fitted right.
