Sorry forgot to say, I use that as the final stage of the clean.... Everything else I keep the same as gloss finish paint. Some folk say you need matte paint shampoo aswell but I just use mequires normal car shampoo.
matt paint finish is a big headache so be prepared for lots of elbow grease & TLC. I would also contact detailing companies (in particular those dealing with expensive sports cars) and to their advise
Sort of regretting it now , spoke to the guy I use from All Year Biker who cleans and coats them in acf50 once a year he said to use acf50 as a cleaner and lightly buff with a microfibre cloth. I ain't the best at this cleaning game so god knows what this will look like after a few months ha ha
Have got matt carbon bodywork, easier to clean than gloss bodywork just use turtle wax and then dry off with a microfibre towel
Don't use wax (unless it's a matt specific wax like Dave has posted) it will give your paint a gloss finish over time. The explanation behind this is on the net, I'm not going to regurgitate it here. Just wash the bike as normal but instead of using wax, polish or Mr Sheen to finish it off use a matte paint product. It's that simple, there is nothing to be scared of or worried about...its only paint.
Look forward to loads of matt grey blades coming on to the market in the future. You just know people will go at it with Auto Glym Super Resin polish...
When I bought my matte black Tuono in 2006 someone told me (can’t remover who) to use foaming helmet sanitizer on it. I found it worked a treat.
